Rosemary A Schneider

Chilton WI

Rosemary A. Schneider, age 94, of Chilton, died on March 4, 2025, at Century Ridge in Chilton. She was born October 10, 1930, daughter of the late Alois and Mary (Seckel) Heimann. On April 14, 1953, she married Gilbert Schneider at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg, and together they had three daughters.

Rosemary was a longtime member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Parish where she was a member of the Christian Mothers, volunteered for the school’s hot lunch program, and then gave her time for the Adoration Chapel. She worked as an inspector at Chilton Metal Products and found time to be a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. Rosemary was an avid Packer fan, and she loved playing Sheepshead, Bingo, and doing word searches.

Rosemary is survived by her daughters: Margaret (Richard) Konopka and Mary (Mark) Horsch; grandchildren: Amanda (Patrick) Ahern, Brian (Katrina) Konopka, Rachel Horsch, Sarah (Brant) Breuer, Jennifer Horsch (fiancé, Tony Vincelet), Joseph (Kimberly) Horsch, Laura (Joseph) Krol, and Timothy (Erica) Horsch; and 13 great-grandchildren with another expected within days.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert, in 2005; her parents; a daughter: Linda Schneider; a grandson: Jonathan Horsch; a great-grandchild: Donovan Horsch; and her siblings: Leona (Meloris) Goeser, Robert (Carol Lau) Heimann, and an infant brother, Arthur Heimann.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton, with Fr. Jon Thorsen officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 am until 1:15 pm at the church before service on Tuesday. At the time of the service and following, there will be a link available above for those wishing to watch a live stream or archived recording of the service, watch a memorial video, or see pictures of the flowers and gifts given to the family.

The family extends sincere thanks to the staff at Century Ridge, Hospice Compassus, and  Janelle and Jessica at Community Care.

Condolences

Mary and Margaret and families, we're so sorry to hear of Rosie's passing. We checked in on her about a year ago when we were visiting back to Chilton. Many wonderful memories living next door to her. She was the first person to greet us as new neighbors. Her sense of humor was delightful and we really enjoyed helping her out. Such a kind lady!
