Dear Kelly and Family, I knew Sammy for a long time (high school). Lots of memories from those old days, and later rarely revisited Hilbert without stopping in for a meal at the restaurant and Sam was always there, a part of Hilbert. I'm sorry for your loss, sad that he had to leave so soon.

I first got to know Sam when I helped his mom, Doris with his dad Elmer. Sam always gave me crap because he knew I loved it. I will always remember the first time I saw/met Sam. It was way back in the 60's when his dad Elmer installed the pool table in my Dad's tavern, Keuler's Tavern in Stockbridge and also all the times having a great steak dinners at the restaurant.
