Sandra A. Jacobs, age 78, of Hilbert, died on January 30, 2026, at Thedacare Hospital in Waupaca. She was born June 6, 1947, daughter of the late Leslie and Lorraine Albrecht. She married John Jacobs in Manitowoc on September 18, 1971, and together they had five daughters.

Sandra met John on a blind date that their friends had arranged and they hit it off, becoming engaged in just a few months. She taught high school English but devoted her life to her family as soon as she started having children. She always helped her girls study for tests and took their calls any time day or night when they had children of their own and needed some motherly advice. She was an even better grandma once her grandchildren arrived. She loved their visits and was happy to babysit, and she went to any of their activities that she could. She enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching, ceramics, and reading mysteries, but those hobbies always took a backseat to her family.

Sandra is survived by her husband, John; daughters: Melissa (Kelly) Meirhofer of Hilbert, Michele (John) Neuman of Weyauwega, Wendy (Jesse) Nimmer of Waupaca, Jennifer (Ryan) Bangert of Green Bay, and Nicole (Justin) Hahn of Waupaca; grandchildren: Megan Meirhofer (fiance, Samuel Buchinger), Sarah Meirhofer, Aliah Neuman (fiance, Justin Gunderson), Karlie Neuman, Chandler (Alexis) Nimmer, Quinn Nimmer, Colby Nimmer, Brett Nimmer, AJ Nimmer, Isaac Bangert, Jonah Bangert, Kellen Bangert, Meyta Bangert, Ella Hahn, Jacob Hahn; sister: Kathleen (Nic) Birr; in-laws: Alfred Jacobs, Kathleen Pagel, Gloria Schunk, Eunice Heller (Dave Wood), Donald (Lori) Jacobs, Diane (Robert) Willems, Darlene Zahringer, Karen (Jeffrey) Goeser, Gerald (Barb) Jacobs, and Ellen (Vic) Brault; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents: Leslie and Lorraine; nephew and godson: Eric Birr; John's parents: Hubert and Eleanor Jacobs; and in-laws: Harold (Joyce) Jacobs, Richard Jacobs, Shirley Jacobs, Ronald Schunk, Harvey Zahringer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at St. John Catholic Church (N7684 Co. Hwy. BB) in St. John. Friends may call from9:00 am until 10:45 am at the church on the day of service. Sandra will be laid to rest at the St. John Catholic Cemetery following the funeral ceremony. The family would like to say thank you to Ashley Wichman, friend and neighbor, for helping support Mom and Dad when needed; and thank you to Mary and Sabrina from Calumet County Health Services for the supportive home health services that allowed Mom to remain home as long as possible. 

Also, a special note of thanks to Thedacare nurses, Brittany and Shieka, and Thedacare Hospice Services and anyone who provided much needed support and care to our entire family.
