Scott M Ecker

Stockbridge WI

Scott M. Ecker, age 54, of Stockbridge, died on September 11, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born September 23, 1970, son of the late Melvin Ecker and Mary (Vanden Boom) Ecker.

Scott graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1989, and started working for Parsons Construction for many years. He then ventured into electrical work at Mike's Electric before taking over Quinney Whitewashing while also doing private construction work. Eventually, he decided to help his mom and dad by driving truck for Lakeshore Septic.

His brothers remember him as an awesome big brother, and his mother is still proud of how he looked after them and cared for them. As a child and young man he spent his summers with his brothers and cousin, Brian Piper, hanging out in the woods building tree houses, camping by the pond and working on cars. He also enjoyed going to stock car races with his uncle, Junior, and going to tractor pulls with his dad.  He called his dad every night to talk about farming, tractors, and just to check in with each other. Farming was in his blood; he loved driving tractors, planting fields, and plowing the land. He spent a lot of his time talking to his friends and hanging out with his brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as daily visits with his cousins at their Breezewood Farms. Family was very important to Scott. He cherished his nieces and nephew, especially the time he spent with his Goddaughter, Joette. Scott was an animal lover, enjoyed time on the ice sturgeon spearing, and was a member of the Quinney Fishing Club and Jolly Fishing Club. Scott enjoyed traveling whether it was going on cruises, camping, watching tractor pulls, playing Solitaire, or driving around Quinney in his Kubota to talk to everyone. He had a love for music, especially oldies and the Beach Boys.

Scott is survived by his mom, Mary; brothers: Jeffrey (Lisa) Ecker and Ricci (Bethany Nadler) Ecker; nieces and nephew: Makenna Ecker (Significant Other, Jake Schmitz), Isaah Ecker, Arianna Ecker, Francis Ecker, Joette Ecker; aunt and uncles: Michael (Jodie) Ecker, Mary Ellen Ecker, Marlene Grenzer, Marvin (Patricia) Ecker, Jr., Mary Kay (Gary) Bancroft, Charles (Jane) Vanden Boom, David (Penny) Vanden Boom, Steven (Lori) Vanden Boom, Robert Vanden Boom, Kay Van Rossum, Julie (Michael) Jehle, and Brian (Paula) Piper; as well as many cousins, extended family, and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his dad, Melvin Ecker; grandparents: Marvin and Martha Ecker and Charles and Anna Rae Vanden Boom; and aunts and uncles: Merlin "Butter" Ecker, Charles Grenzer, and Ann Piper.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 5:00 pm on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at St. Mary of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church (120 Davis St.) in Stockbridge. Friends may call from 2:30 pm until 4:45 pm at the church on the day of service. At the time of service and following, there will be a link available to those wishing to watch a livestream or recording of the service, watch a memorial video, or see pictures of flowers and gifts given to the family on their website page provided by wietingfuneralhome.com

The family would like to thank Bethany Nadler, Angie Price, and the intensive care team at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

So sorry for you loss.i will always miss the simpler times. The first time I saw Scott was his 5th class reunion, singing karaoke at Harbor bar. It was so funny I was in tears.

Mary, Jeff, Ric, Brian and all, You are all in my thoughts as you mourn the loss of Scott. He was a fine young man, left us far to early. Years ago he built a unique fireplace surround for me - made of original SHS bricks...just a wonder! Love you all!

My sincere condolences to Scott's Family. I always liked Scott, with his quick witty sassy sense of humor. He always treated me well and I exchanged the sentiment. I knew he was so sad when Melvin passed and often wondered how he was doing after. Imagine now, no pain heartache no sadness and with family that has gone on before him. I love that for him. Mary,Jeff,Ricci, Jr, cousins, etc. I'm so very sorry for your loss. You're all in my prayers ????.
