Steven G Bruckner
Chilton, WI

Steven George “Butch” Bruckner, age 71, of Chilton, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Ascension Calumet Hospital in Chilton.  He was born January 19, 1951 in Appleton, son of the late Alfred “Fritz” & Florence (Libke) Bruckner.

Butch was a graduate of Chilton High School, Class of 1969, and with a love of numbers graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a degree in accounting.  Following this graduation, he was not sure where to ply his education, so he decided to bartend at Pla-Mor Lanes in Chilton until he met the love of his life, Karen (Schwantes) Peters.  The couple was married on November 6, 1982 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Chilton.

Shortly after marriage, he was offered a position with Endries International that led this couple across the country until they were able to revive their home roots in the Chilton area.

He was a long time member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church as well as the Hickory Hills Country Club where he spent hours and rounds with his friends and a little white ball.  He cherished each and every moment he could being around his family and those that he loved, whether it was at church, on the golf course, or debating and creating discussions concerning life and everything that surrounded it.

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his wife: Karen; his siblings: Richard (Cheryl) Bruckner, Sandra Bruckner, Cindy (Wayne) Krueger, Mary (Jeff) Meyer, Scot (Lynn) Bruckner; and his siblings-in-law:  Jim (Marlene) Schwantes, John (Rhea) Schwantes, and Sharon (Val) Thome.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings: Sharon & Mark Bruckner.

Private family services are being held, and a public Celebration of Life will take place Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Neighborhood Bar & Grill in Brant.

A memorial fund has been established in the name of Steven G. “Butch” Bruckner.

Butch, so many memories. So many are going to miss you dearly. Golf trips won't be the same. Our fraternity brother Skokie said is best last night: Butch was such a gifted athlete who was naturally intelligent. He hit the head on the nail. I guess the Lord needed you sooner than we wanted to let you go. RIP Butch
