Order Prohibiting Mass Gatherings of 10 People or More has been issued for the State of Wisconsin.  This does effect how we will be conducting our funerals both in the funeral home and at churches.
Private vistation and funeral will be held.
On behalf of the family and Wieting Family Funeral Home we are sorry for any inconvenience.

Steven J. “Rudy” Propson, age 68, of Stockbridge, died at his residence on March 16, 2020. He was born April 19, 1951, son of the late Andrew and Ginny Propson. On October 21, 1978, he married Ann Hoerth and together they had four children.

Rudy was a metal fabricator and worked for the MB Company for over 40 years. He enjoyed his time away from work, especially the outdoors. He loved going to his cabin in Wausaukee and he was a member of the Quinney Fishing Club. He liked to hunt deer, go sturgeon spearing, walleye fishing, four-wheeling, or just watch the water on the lake when he wasn’t on it. He enjoyed shooting pool and playing Sheepshead. More than anything, he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandkids.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Ann; his children: Nicholas (Karen) Propson, Matthew (Holly Oakley) Propson, Jackie (Chris Stephany) Propson, Luke (Cassie) Propson; grandchildren: Alexia Propson, Tucker Propson, Mikiya Stephany; siblings: Sue (Tom) Jacky, Jodie (Mike) Ecker, Jeanne (Jim) Amel, Julie (Mark) Birschbach, and Scott Propson (godchild as well); sisters-in-law: Sue (Marty) Seckel, Mary Muellenbach (Sande), Betty (Dick) Schumacher, Alice Ruliffson, and Janice (Skip) Olson; a brother-in-law: Ron Muellenbach; godmother: Dorothy Gerner; and godchildren: Patrick Amel, Jessie Bangart, Kelly Gevaert, Emily Olson, and Christina Whitlock.

Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Ginny; Ann’s parents: Romy and Dolores Hoerth; and brothers-in-law: Casey Ruliffson and Joey Hoerth.

A funeral service will be private.

The family would like to extend special thank you’s to the St. Elizabeth Oncology Department and Calumet County Hospice, especially Gina and Holly.
