From my brief meeting with Steve this summer at the Green County fair it was apparent he was a genuine caring person full of life even with his battles. He leaves a huge void in the Leitner family but the memories will live forever. May your faith in God carry you forward. My sincere sympathies to you all.

I remember having lunch with the family. We were having Stew. I asked if he named the cows and said yes. The. He told me the name of the cow we were eating. Steve said, “This what happens when they don’t produce.” I have used that line since when it comes to Christians. If the branches do t produce they are cut off. Steve was a fruit producer and now rests for his labor. My condolences and prayers for God’s peace in Mary and the kids (there still kids in my memory$.

Rest in Peace until we see each other again. We may not have always seen eye to eye but we always knew that the each other had the others best interest at heart. I know that you are with mom, dad and Kathy. The only think that I ask is that you save me a spot. Always missed and loved.

A kind, faithful and generous lover of Christ. Saddened for those he left behind. Rejoicing for him. Praying for the loved ones who now must walk on without his presence.

Steve and Mary were so gracious in showing my 3-4th graders atound their farm. They showed us everything, let the kids try to milk the cows, and then made sure everyone got a cup of ice cream. He was always so kind and had a smile for anyone. My condolences to all the Leitners and their extended family, he will be sorely missed.
