Theresa D Spreeman
Stockbridge WI
Theresa Dorothy Spreeman, age 76, of Stockbridge, died on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. She was born June 6, 1948 in Appleton, daughter of the late Anthony & Rosella (Koehler) Huspek.
Following her graduation from Appleton West High School, Theresa joined the United States Army where she proudly served until her Honorable Discharge.
On January 2, 1976, Theresa married Ralph Spreeman at the First Congregational church in Appleton. Together they raised a remarkable family which was the apple of her eye. Theresa did everything in her power to provide for them and be at every one of their events. She also held a soft spot in her heart for pets yet to be adopted from the humane society. She always wanted to provide for and protect them in any way she could, especially by donating to the ASPCA.
When she wasn’t caring for the animals around her, Theresa made sure to care for the friends and loved ones around her. She enjoyed quilting and made sure to donate many of her creations to local charities, most notably Harbor House and went out of her way to make a special quilt for every newborn baby in her life. Theresa also took great pride in being a long time member of Al Anon.
Above all else, Theresa’s faith was of utmost importance. Given God’s grace to her, Theresa was actively involved in the Faith Alliance Church’s prayer chain, and made sure that she kept on top of the members’ birthdays and anniversaries.
She is survived by her children: Wayne Spreeman, Craig Spreeman, Rich Spreeman, Wanda Van Deraa and her special friend, Dustin Hardrath; daughter-in-law: Amy Spreeman; her grandchildren: Brianna Brill, Gunnar, Skylar, Zakary, Taylar Spreeman, Makaila, Madeline, Mollie Parker Spreeman, Jonathon Van Deraa; and her siblings: Kenneth (Janet) Huspek, Frances (Tom) Ebel, Myra Recker. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Ralph “Jay” Spreeman; two pairs of infant twins; and her siblings: Laura Pulda, Robert (Carolyn) Pulda, Martin Huspek and Roland Recker.
Funeral service will be at 4:30 pm on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W Main St) in Chilton. Burial will be in the Portland Cemetery in the Town of Chilton. A time of visitation will be held at Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
Theresa’s family would like to thank the staff at Little Chute Health Services for all of the loving care that Theresa received on a daily basis. They would also like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton, Wisconsin along with hospice, for providing comforting care and support to both Theresa and her family at the end of her life.

I'll never forget all the visits I had in her home with the whole family. We had lots of laughs and serious talks as well. They welcomed me as their own. She had so much spunk it caught me off guard but her smile and laughs warmed my heart. My condolences to the family.

Wanda, I am so very sorry for the loss of your mom. Theresa was always a good person to me and my kids and parents too. Yes she was a little bit sassy....ope a lot sassy, but she was a good person. She would have done anything for anyone. She's at peace now, at home with the lord.

Wanda and family, we are so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort knowing she is pain free and reunited with her love. It’s always hard to loose a parent but harder to watch them struggle. She is at peace and I hope you find peace also. Hugs to you.
