Condolences

One night down by dads milkhouse after waxing & polishing my car Tom came by & pleaded with me. The glare from the bumpers was so bright it was making him blind to look at. Loved his humor!

So saddened by the loss of Tom. I met him through my wife’s family and spent many Christmas Eve’s and other holidays with him. He always had a humorous outlook on life and had many one liners.. too many to count. His knowledge of trains was second to none, but even more special was his ability to share that passion with others, including my children. This world was a better place for you being in it, Tom. You leave a hole that cannot be filled, but I’m sure you have a joke about that as well. Love you man!

My sympathy to the Heus family. I worked with Tom at Foley he was one of a kind, he gave me a nick name blabby, he said because I talked to much!! But we all know Tom love to talk to everyone. I seen him last fall and he told me he was sick, I wished him well, I knew he had a tough fight ahead of him, we all had lots of laughs in the Wash department at Foley. Rest in Peace Tom, Ride that train to heaven.

Tom was the last of my cousins I was little with. We walked and played every inch of our grandparents’ farm. Amazing we were not badly maimed—crawling through the threshing machine, jumping from the highest places in the barn into the hay. Letting the oats rain down on us during threshing time. We texted nearly every day, keeping each other cheered up. We could do a really deep dive into our memory banks! Tommy, wherever you are now, I love you and I miss you. Karen

To the family of Tom, thoughts and prayers are with you at this. Words can not express the loss of a very good friend, we were friend when we worked at Foley, till now. We would message each other on alot of thing. And would would give encouragement through out his health issues the last few years, Tom was a crazy guy with a great sense of humor, he would love to imitate Rodney Dangerfield, but he also would give the shirt off his back if need to. RIP my friend.

I just text with Tom the end of May, I can't believe he's gone. We have been friends since my high school days 50 plus years ago. I moved out of state, lost contact and rekindled the friendship years ago via calls, cards and text. He called me his Barbie doll...I will miss our chats and cherish the memories. My heart hurts. To the family, so sorry for your loss.
