Tracy L. “Reba” Aplin, age 54, of Potter, died at her home on November 17, 2024. She was born September 18, 1970, daughter of the late James and Audrey Aplin.
Tracy was known as “Reba” because of her amazing singing voice and performing at karaoke whenever she had the chance. She had a love for animals, from owning a horse in the past to her two cats at home. She liked playing Bingo, and had a remarkable ability in making dolls, especially lifelike babies.
Tracy is survived by her siblings: Jeff (Sara) Aplin, Nathan Aplin, and Nicole Aplin; a niece and nephew: Seth Aplin (significant other, Alonnie Rivera) and Alyssa (Harry) Aplin-Booth; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tracy was preceded in death by her parents: James and Audrey.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church in Potter, with Rev. Dr. Marc Axelrod officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 am until 11:45 am on the day of service. At the time of service and following, there will be a link available above for those wishing to watch a memorial video or view pictures of the flowers and gifts given to the family.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the family, friends, and neighbors that helped care for Tracy during her illness along with the entire staff of Unity Hospice for the loving care that was shown to both Tracy, as well as her family.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society.
Condolences
I know I didn't know you very well over the past few years but I'll remember the impact you left on my life. May you rest in peace. Those left behind, who may have known you only a short time, saw your great love of everything and will be missed deeply!!

I met Tracy at the Chilton Cinema, where we both worked. She was a beautiful young lady, inside and out. Those blue eyes! As happens, our lives took different paths but it was always such a pleasure to run into her and catch up. I hadn’t realized she was as ill as she was….she always had a smile and loved to tell me about her karaoke, dancing and gift of painting life-like infants. The world is definitely a little less brighter now. May she rest in peace…????????

I would play with Tracy when she went to her cousin, Kelly's house as Kelly was also my cousin; just different sides of the family. Recently ran into her at a bar and we discussed the three of us getting together and reminiscing. My only regret is that never happened. My heart goes out to her family but I know her mother and dad welcomed her warmly into their arms in heaven.

My sincere sympathy to all of Uncle Pete’s Family. It makes it especially hard to lose Family this time of year or any time of year. The picture of Tracy is precious. I am thankful that I was able to see her at the Miller reunion.

I'm in shock and disbelief that my friend from Kindergarten through high school and beyond is gone. She was my bestie for years, my maid of honor for my wedding, my line dancing buddy, my karaoke duet and movie partner, my partner in crime, etc. So many memories of my sweet, kind-hearted, loving friend. My deepest condolences to Jeff, Nathan, Nicole and the entire family. May God comfort you during this difficult time.

I am shocked and sad to hear of the passing of Tracy. Tracy worked on my team at New Hope Center. She showed kindness and compassion to those we served. I know how much she cared for her family through the conversations we shared. A beautiful person inside and out. She will be missed.

Tracy was always a sweet and kind friend. She and I were Pom Pom girls together at HHS! We lost touch after high school but I always thought kindly about her. I’m sure she will be missed by so many family and friends. My prayers and condolences to all who are suffering her loss.
