Order Prohibiting Mass Gatherings of 10 People or More has been issued for the State of Wisconsin.  This does effect how we will be conducting our funerals both in the funeral home and at churches.
Public visitation will be held with the time listed, but we will be limiting the amount of people in and out of the building to under 10 people.  Please be prepared for standing outside while we wait until each person can enter and exit the building.
Funeral services will be held and asked for family only in attendance.
If you are uncomfortable joining, sick, or have any underlying health concerns it is advised that you stay home.  We are taking every precaution we can to keep everyone who enters safe and healthy.
On behalf of the family and Wieting Family Funeral Home we are sorry for any inconvenience.

Viola’s family would like to thank the Calumet County Home Care & Hospice, as well as the entire staff of the Homestead Care Center in New Holstein for all of their loving care.  They would also like to thank the many friends and family members who have been a blessing with prayers, kind words of support and food that was brought to the house.
Having Viola and John as neighbors growing up, we couldn't ask for better people. She always made sure to have plenty of cookies and snacks stocked, but most of all made sure we were always safe. Viola was an amazing woman and will be dearly missed. My condolences to the Schimtz family.

Our sympathy to Viola's Family. I always enjoyed goin to our church functions years ago when I would work with her and being apart of Christian Women. She was such a sweet lady. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Little Charlotte has lost her Great Grandma who was a wonderful role model.

We could sit and talk for hours and never run out of things to say. She had a very big heart for people and animals. We enjoyed watching some baby kittens grow up in our back yard from a stay that stayed around. The kitten's gave us lots of laughs. I will always miss her kind words, her big hug's and her caring for others. Enjoyed doing Christmas cookies with her and my daughter. She will be missed by many. Thought's and prayers to the family.

Barb Gaedtke (Friend and neighbor ) - Mar. 11, 2020

I grew up with Viola's granddaughters, Amy and Tracy. We used to go to Viola's house on occasion and she was the sweetest lady. I remember many laughs with her as well. I ran into her just a few months ago and got to Say hello again. Deepest sympathies to Bill, Tracy and Amy and the rest of the family.

Melissa Campsall (Friend of family ) - Mar. 11, 2020

Many years ago I met Viola when she came to the Gobbler's Knob to eat dinner. I happened to be her waitress one evening and many evenings after that. She became one of my favorite people to walk through the door and to this day she was one of the kindest human beings I have ever met. There definitely was a place in Heaven waiting for you dear lady. Saying a prayer for comfort for all ??
