Wesley Jamison “Wes” Goodacre, age 53, of Appleton, died on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at his home. He was born February 9, 1971, son of Karen (Burg) Goodacre and the late Rodney Goodacre.
With a life long passion for vehicles, especially big block Chevy’s, Wesley found himself wrenching on cars through Gustman Chevy in Seymour. In 2018, Wes transferred to Gustman Honda in Appleton where he was currently employed.
During this time, he met and married Heather Reed on April 9, 2005 in Appleton, Wisconsin.
When Wes wasn’t adding to his collection of model cars, he enjoyed moments outside hiking through state and local parks, climbing trees, and playing on the cliffs at High Cliff State Park as though he were a young child experiencing these wonders for the first time. He appreciated moments going to car shows and gun shows and keeping track of old television shows. Over the course of his life, Wes managed to collect quite the collection of DVD’s of old sitcoms and classic shows.
Survivors include his wife: Heather; his children: Zachary Goodacre, Gail Goodacre; his mother: Karen Goodacre; and a brother: Matt Goodacre. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Wes was preceded in death by his father: Rodney; and his grandparents: Charles & Myra Burg and Carl & Marian Goodacre.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:30 am until 1:15 pm. At the time of the service and following, there will be a link available above for those wishing to watch a livestream or archived recording of the service, a memorial video, and photos of the flowers and gifts given to the family.
